I was planning on getting my realtors licence and i wanted to find out if you could open up a business after getting certified or would you have to wait a while.
      Answer1:a few other licenses and forms have to be filed ... which should take about 2 days total in America. state and local business licenses, federal tax EIN, possibly a state tax ID number, incorporaton or other business organization filing, name search, etc.After that, youll need to join the local MLS service -- I have no idea what their procedures for doing so are.
      Answer2:There is no such thing as a REALTOR license.You get a REAL ESTATE license and THEN you apply and sign up to be a Realtor. The minute you join your local Realtor association, you are pretty much ready to go in most states.

      Answer4:When you go to real estate school they will teach you the procedure. You will have to work for a broker as an independent contractor ie a Realtor (after you take the code of ethics class). You will have requirements as a Realtor before you can apply for your brokers license. Trust me, you will need to obtain a wealth of knowledge and a good chunk of money before you open your own brokerage.Best wishes!
