Do all minimum wage employees get paid more for working today

(Since today is a Federal/State holiday in USA)Or is that a contractual agreement?so does an $8 wage today get automatically bumped to $12?
Answer1:No. It depends on what the employer chooses and what the state regulations direct the employer to do.
Answer2:There are no laws that require an employer to pay more for hours worked on holidays, weekends, or nights. An hour worked is an hour worked, and the only laws about increasing pay are those concerning overtime, after 40 hours have been worked in the week already. Some employers offer a bonus of some kind for working on a holiday, but nothing requires them to do so. Unless you have a contract that specifies extra pay, dont expect any.
