How would someone go about getting a contractor license in Virginia? Is any formal training required and if so, is any documentation needed? Thanks for your help!

      Answer2:You must pass a test with specific information about the type of construction you want to be licensed to do (i.e. homebuilding, hvac, electric, plumbing, heavy steel construction, etc...).Virginia has a Board of Contractors that administer the licensing process so just contact The Virginia Board of Contractors.
