im sick of been treated badly at work and wayyyy underpaid. i have decided to start a small business in the coming months. i have enough money and links for starting a small business, so i do not need any bank loan. i would like to start selling from ebay as a part time thing and see how it goes 1st. there are some questions i would like to ask.1: i have an ebay account, do i need to register as a company before i can sell multiple items on ebay? 2: i will import household electronic goods from china, how do i get my order from the port to me? any company will do that? can i pay them without a business account or a registered business (just pay from my personal bank account)?3: how do i pay import duty and tax? 4: whats the tax band for household electronic goods? those questions seem a bit stupid, but i have to start at this point. im very determined.
      Answer1:do not bother; 99% of the sellers there earn no net profit.to earn a profit; there is a world wide approach;I N S T E A D--find UNMET needs and fill them.do not just try to sell stuff "willy nilly."
      Answer2:1)yes you need to renegotiate with E bay2)you either own and drive or rent a van unless you bought a whole container then you have to get a hauler to go get it and deliver it to where you can safely unload and inventory its contents3)by value estimation of imported goods4)I dont know but I hear they play free bird as loud as skynyrd
      Answer3:HiDoing business on ebay is good, I m doing since last two years.The main point is what you want to sell on ebay, I mean to say some thing unique which other seller don’t sell.Doing electronic business from China is a big game because the electronic market is very vast and profit margin is less, it is a game of quantity.1) if you have an ebay account you do not have to register company for selling multiple items for sometime. After incoming of some specific amount ebay will ask you to enter you company detail in paypal account. But if you are business register seller it will be good to gain customer’s faith.2) You seller from China will send you the documents and Shipping Company will contact you and ask for documents and shipping charges plus VAT. Once you pay the amount they will delivery container at you given address. 3) Import duty and taxes include in shipping charges.
