How to Open a GYM in a sufficient budget
Answer1:Opening a gym is not cheap. The equipment alone is very expensive. Not to mention your competition is 24 Hour Fitness. LA Fitness, Ballys Total Fitness, Golds Gym, Powerhouse Gym, Curves... which are STOCKED with great equipment, pools, saunas, jacuzzis. Im not raining on your parade. If you find a good location, with lots of people and not much competition, you can do it. But you have to purchase good equipment. I purchased equipment for an exclusive gym. Ultimately, a large portion of the equipment was purchased USED. It was in great condition, and purchased at a fantastic price. And because we purchased it from another gym, it contained the entire inventory of what we were looking for. My suggestion, would be to look for a gym thats trying to sell, so you wont have to purchase equipment from 50 different places, but perhaps can purchase a gyms entire inventory all at once, at USED prices. Or perhaps even purchase the gym? If you lease your own space, youll have to lease something capable of housing a Mens and Womens locker rooms, with bathrooms and probably showers. Multiple sinks and fountains.Finding an old gym going out of business, and refurbishing it is a great alternative.Ok then! Peace!!!

Answer3:Oh. I hate to be the one to say this to you...If you are asking this question on Yahoo Answers, then this just proves that you are not ready, or surrounded by the right people in your life, to take on this endeavor. If you have some money burning a hole in your pocket, then do something with it that you KNOW what you are doing! Get out a piece of paper and write down the things you know about. Think of them in a creative way - how could you make money from them? What kind of business can you create from something you know already?I would think that somebody opening a gym would need to have a passion for physical fitness... you have never even worked out! How can you run a business you know nothing about? Now, if you were loaded and could find the right people to do this FOR you - I would say, by all means, go for it! But, you dont have a large budget that you are working with - you are not loaded - I am afraid you would lose all of your money, and then some.Again - think of what you already know. What do you love to do? What are you doing when you lose track of time? It is these things you should base a business on.Good luck, and I hate being the bearer of bad news. You will thank me for it though.
