Im contemplating opening a womens clothing boutique but Im not sure where I should go to obtain the clothes and accessories. Should I buy from a wholesaler in a garment district such as the one in New York, or do I have to make overseas contacts where they are manufactured? I dont know if this is ever done on consignment. How much money is a realistic amount for starting up a small boutique?
      Answer1:There is a site that has a bunch of information on business given from industry experts and other successful entrepreneurs.       Answer2:if you are buying a small quantity and sell almost the same style as others, you could buy it from wholesaler in your area; otherwise, you have to make your design ( this will be costly) and copy the others and manufactured : localy if you need small quantity, in china or other countries if in quantity.there is no consignment business with present economic conditions! everybody is scared of getting money back! sorry, i do not have any ideas about the cost for starting such business.i m in china with 18 years export business experiences, i would like to share it with u if you need.
