And if so, how do you like it? Im thinking of doing translation work out of my home, but I kind of enjoy going to an office and getting away from wife/kids. Have you found out easy or difficult to balance personal and private? What about the social aspect of an office/business, do you miss it?
      Answer1:Ive done it as a freelance write for a bit over a half year. I like that I have an amazingly flexible schedule, but It is difficult if you do not set it up to have a babysitter for the kids. Also, be aware of distractions, it is really easy to get sucked into the TV, or something on the computer, or going tot he basement to workout, or taking too long of a lunch. There are so many extra distractions. With that said I dont miss the social aspect of going to work. When I do have a babysitter for the kids I am significantly more productive working from home than in an office, because I am in control of the distractions, even if there are more total possibilities. Set defined hours as to when you are working and stick to them for yourself, wife, and kids. Its okay to make adjustments for important things, but mostly stick to a schedule.
