I want to start a business, but Im only 12 years old. My dad used to have a business, but he quit (reasons why are unknown). And I was thinking about asking him. But I think its best if I know ahead. And how do I send an advertisement to everyone in the neighborhood??Also, what would you need the most for this time of year, what would you be willing to pay a 12 year old?
      Answer1:You should ask your Dad why he gave up owning his own business and tell him your interest. It will open up communication and you can learn from each other. You can open your own business at 12 but you should do it legally (permits, taxes, etc) to get more for your money. Use your skills and interests to build the business. Does it make sense to send advertisements to everyone in the neighborhood or would you be better off just sending them to those who want or need what you have to offer??? Why give out flyers to people that are just going to throw them away??? I cant answer what I would pay a 12 year old unless I know what products and/or services you are offering. Think of what you want to do and then have your Dad help you with a business plan so you know the costs involved as well as the profit potential. You cant reach a goal unless youve set it.
