I am considering opening a commercial fitness center How do I run it How do I compete How do I get started

Im not sure how to sell memberships, how much to charge, how many employees to have, what positions to hire, where to advertise, how to determine hours of operation. Should I have a pre-sale? How do I keep track of members? How do I keep in touch with members? What type of POS system should I have?
Answer1:you, my friend, do not need to start a fitness center. You, should probably go to college, and if for some unknown reason to me, you have already done this, you should go work at a fitness center until you know the industry well enough to know what to charge and how the big boys do it. In these tough economic times, people are cutting their discretionary spending, and that definitely includes gym memberships.
