HI, I live in California(Bay Area) and my mom wants to set up a booth at the farmers market. This will be her second year in planting strawberries and she wants to set up a booth at our local farmers market. The problem is, I dont know what we need to do in order to set one up. I know Im suppose to contact the farmers market manager, but are there licenses I need? or anything like that?? If so, how do I obtain it??thank you for your help^^
      Answer1:The Market Manager can help you set all of that up - if there are licenses, taxes, certifications, or inspections you need to get first, they will tell you where to get started. Usually for something non-prepared like strawberries you dont need any special licenses to get started unless you advertise as "organic" (they you have to be certified as "organic" before you sell).Good luck and happy selling!
