What it the hourly rate of pay @ B&BW?? Also what are some good skills to have that would appeal to the employer?
Answer1:Starting hourly rate at BBW is minimum wage or slightly above. Of course, this depends on the state because most states have different minimum wages. Most BBW locations are actually cutting their staff at the moment; most of the staff members hired in for holiday are no longer getting any scheduled hours. Ive been with the company for about a year and a half now and Im only at about 3 hours a week right now. They will probably be hiring again around Mothers Day.As for what skills, the biggest asset is customer service. BBW is all about service to the customer. In training, we have an entire unit on "The Total Customer Experience." Also, if you are the type of person who can pick up things easily, it will make training go much more smoothly and increase the likelihood that they will keep you as an associate (otherwise, youll find yourself slowly but surely just not getting any hours. The more skilled you are as an associate, the more hours you will get.). Also, you should be able to carry heavy boxes...those shower gels and hand soaps weigh quite a bit. Figure about 30-40 pounds (?) for one of the large shower gel boxes...and there are days where youll have a ton of them to move.Good luck! :]
