I have now ceased trading as a Ltd company & gone back to a sole trader. Can i receive outstanding cheques in my personal name or would it have to be in the name of the sole trader company ?
      Answer1:It should be in the company name, i assume you have a business bank account so you can pay it into that.
      Answer2:If you have closed the ltd company, and informed HMRC that you are now a sole trader then yes they can be made out to you.if you havent done the above keep the payments in the company name for accounting purposes
