I was reported about 2 months ago as stealing services of over $200 from the company I worked for. Now, I asked the managers and they said I could use these services for free, but apparently I couldnt. My question is, I was never brought to court over this matter, but will a retail theft check show that I stole services?.--Answer1:Its 50/50. A lot of retail establishments report retail crime to a national database called USMA. You can be put into this sytem even if the police were never called and charges were never filed. If you apply for another retail job, and they have acces to this data base like most places do, you can bet they will run your name through it to see if youve ever been caught stealing. The question is, did the place you worked for have access to and use this system.
