I WANT TO BUY a diamond necklace,,, i want to use paypal,my question is,,,i want to want to make sure the necklace is 14k and the diamonds are real,,,i am very worried about sending a lot of money to someone i dont know,so it is possiable to ask paypal to check the necklack to make sure its real and the diamonds are real,,, so i get what i paid for,,or is it just a place to exchange products and payments.because if it is,, what good is it,,i mean,, they wil get my money and i will get a fake necklace,advice please.--Answer1:thats serious fraud.. paypal can track that stuff pretty easily as long as youre not buying from a professional scammer who has just made a brand new account. They do not have a jeweler working for them who will check stuff for you, sorry.You shouldnt worry too much as long as the dude has a history with paypal..--Answer2:If you went and took money out of the bank and bought a fake necklace would it be the banks fault? Paypal has nothing to do with the companies youre purchasing from, just like the bank doesnt and credit card companies dont. If you get scammed on a necklace than you need to take it up with the company who scammed you..--Answer3:When you transfer money to someone via paypal, sometimes paypal deems it "unsafe" and they will transfer your money but lock it so that it is in your sellers account but he cannot touch it. He sends you what you bought and you have a period to inspect it, up to like 3 weeks maybe but not sure on the time. You could have it inspected by a jeweler and then "unlock" the payment. Just call paypal before you transfer and make sure they will hold it in his account and you are 100% safe.
