I’ve got some stock from India, embroidered clutch bags for weddings and parties! I bought a sample amount just to see if it would sell. So far iv only sold to my cousins!! I’ve made up leaflets and got the word out but how else can I promote it? I was thinking of having a home sale too but what else could I do to attract attention and sell them?? Is Ebay a good idea?? I did do a stall but only old ladies turned up and they dident buy any bags!! I dont want to feel dishearterned as its the first time but i feel that there not selling and i want to get them sold!! Ultimatly id like to design my own range of clutch bags and open up a boutique but if no ones interested then what shall i do???.--Answer1:Try selling them where your intended customers go shopping. Perhaps try local colleges and art centres etc... eBay is also a good place but youll also need to try and maximise the number of visitors to your store. You do have a good buisness oppertunaty but the secret is marketing, product knowledge and handeling the 5 main obsticalsno need!no money!no desire!no hurry!no trust!what youneed to start by doing is thinking od POSITIVE ways around these obsticals!. so for example. no need!. so what you could ask is what do you need? what would you like? or want?, pretend your the customeres personal shopperand imagian that your cutomer says well its too big, i only need it for my phone?so by asking probing questions youare finding out and pinpointing exactly what the customer wants.Wen you listened to what the customers wanted and acted on what they said.. Good things happen when you pay attention.also If you give the customer 2 choises they have a 70% chance more of buying for you. show the customer 2 totally differnt styles. and be ready to introduce accesorys .lol. the products often sell themselves but be ready to give them that extra push!.lol.also I tink Its really great that you want to design your own styles.
